| Introduction Ulli, a native of Germany, is a nationally-recognized, self-taught artist specializing in watercolor and pastel mediums. As a result of training under some of the finest artist/instructors in the United States and a rigorous daily regimen of practise as espoused by the masters of classical artistry, her work has received numerous state and national awards. Preferring traditional techniques and painting from live, Ulli offers originals for sale and commissioned artwork. Ulli makes her home with her husband, Kent, in Cary and Southern Pines, North Carolina.
Biography Ulrike (Ulli) Irmgard Schmaeling born in Kassel, Germany, 1955. Youth spent in Kassel, Speyer & Lake Constance regions of Germany & St.Niklaas, Belgium. 1975-1979: Eduation in business management, Sigmaringen & Stuttgart, Germany. Married since 1982 to Kent Misegades, raised three wonderful children, a girl and two boys. Became a U.S. citizen in December, 2007. 1987: Formal art education began with instruction by William Pribble, Fish Creek, WI.
